Taught by experienced mortgage and real estate professionals, our classes draw from real-world examples to clarify intricate regulations.   • What is BioSig-ID, and do I need an NMLS ID to use BioSig-ID?

    Per NMLS guidelines, students must complete an identity verification process during all continuing education courses. BioSig-ID™ is a third-party BioMetric Signature service.

    You will need to enter the BioSig-ID™ password you created before taking any courses. You will need to verify your identification with your password each time you enter an online course or to complete online tests and download certificates of completion. We do not have access to reset or tell you what your password is. If you need help with the BioSig-ID™ system, you must contact the NMLS at (855) 665-7123 M-F 9:00AM to 9:00PM Eastern Time or open a support ticket through the NMLS Help Desk.

  • How can I determine which NMLS CE courses I need?

    Every mortgage loan originator is required to complete 7 hours of continuing education per year. On top of that they are required to complete state specific  requirements.

  • How do I find my NMLS ID number?

    To get a Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) number assigned, visit: https://www.statemortgageregistry.com/Public/Login.aspx. If you have your number assigned, but do not know it, enter your name and password at the same site and click “View Individual.” Your NMLS number will be listed next to your name. Registered Mortgage Loan Originators can also look themselves at www.nmlsconsumeraccess.org.

  • In what format are courses offered?

    Classroom, webinars, and online self-study course types.

  • Which browsers are compatible with your courses?

    Our courses are compatible with Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and most other browsers.

  • Are there any technical requirements to take a course/class?

  • How soon can I start my course after I purchase it?

    You can start your courses immediately after registration.

  • How do I receive the information to join a class once I have registered?

    You will receive a confirmation email with a registration code.

  • I’m having trouble accessing my course. What do I do?

    If a class is not playing correctly, try these troubleshooting tips:

    1. Reset the Class in your Course:
      1. Select the class
      2. When asked if you would like to resume the course, select “NO”
      3. This will reset the class
    2. Reset a locked quiz:
      1. Wait for the quiz timer
      2. When the timer expires, select RETRY
      3. This will reset the quiz
      4. You can also reset the class following the steps above

      1. Firefox
      2. Chrome
      3. Safari
      4. Internet Explorer
    4. Clear your Flash Cache
  • How long will I have access to the course that I purchased?

    Each course expires after 365 days.

  • Will a syllabus outlining the breaks and topics be available for each course?

    Yes, the syllabus for each course is available in our Learning Management System and in the course details.

  • Do I have to take an exam at the end of each course?

    Yes, you must pass the course exam before you receiving your certificate of completion and having your hours banked with the NMLS or DRE.

  • What happens if I fail an exam?

    You will have the opportunity for two retakes of each exam.

  • Do I have to complete the course all in one sitting?

    In-class and webinar courses must be taken at the scheduled time. Online courses may be taken any time before the deadline. Remember to plan ahead, because all providers have five days to bank your credits with the NMLS.

  • When does my continuing education (CE) expire?

    Your continuing education must be renewed every year by December 31.

  • How is the seat time requirement measured?

    Instructors and facilitators will monitor seat time. All students are required to attend the entire course and engage in learning throughout.

  • How do I get my Certificate of Completion?

    Certificates for  will be sent after successful completion of classroom courses and will be available in our Learning Management System for Webinars and Online learning.

  • How do I view the courses I’ve completed?

    A list of your completed courses will be available at www.LazersonLearning/Education.com under “My Courses.”

  • Can I complete the same course in two successive renewals?

  • Does LazersonLearning report my completed courses to the NMLS?

    All hours will be banked with the NMLS within 5 business days. This ensures that your course completion is properly recorded and credited to your NMLS account.

  • How do I view courses that have been reported to NMLS?

    View your reported classes in the NMLS Resource Center.

  • Can I cancel a course once I have registered?
